Monash University Research Training Program (RTP) Fees-Offset 2024

Monash University is excited to announce the availability of the Research Training Program (RTP) Fees-Offset scholarships for the upcoming academic term. These scholarships aim to attract exceptional and driven individuals interested in pursuing Research Doctorate and Research Masters degrees at Monash University.

Funded by the Australian Government, the RTP Scholarships are designed to support both domestic and international students in their research endeavours. With Monash University as both the sponsor and host, these scholarships offer an annual fees-offset ranging between $37,100 and $53,200, available to a multitude of awardees.

These scholarships cater to Masters and PhD level studies and are open to both domestic and international students. Additionally, candidates may also consider applying for the fully-funded Graduate Research Scholarships at the University of Melbourne for 2024.

Details of the Monash Research Training Program (RTP) Fees-Offset elucidate that international students must undergo a competitive selection process to be considered for the RTP Fees-Offset. Selection is based on academic achievements, research outputs, and prior research experience. The RTP Fees-Offset aims to alleviate the financial burden of course tuition fees for successful applicants, including a single Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) policy for international scholars.

Eligibility for this prestigious scholarship requires applicants to be Australian or New Zealand citizens, Australian permanent residents, Australian humanitarian visa holders, or international students. Candidates must also meet the specific admission criteria for research degrees, adhere to Monash’s competitive scholarship selection process, and fulfil the English language proficiency requirements.

To apply, candidates should submit their scholarship and course applications simultaneously via the Monash Applicant Portal, ensuring they are considered for all available graduate research scholarships without the need to specify their preference. Note that domestic students seeking only the RTP Fees Offset without a living allowance need not apply separately for a scholarship.

The application period for international students (Round 3) opens on 1 April and closes on 31 August. For more detailed information and to embark on your application journey, visit the official Monash University website.
