Categories and Details:
- MTN Science and Technology Scholarship (MTN STS): For 300-level students in Science & Technology fields. This scholarship supports 300 students annually until graduation, provided they maintain the required grades. For 2024, the award amount has been increased to N300,000.
- MTN Scholarship for Blind Students (MTN SBS): Open to eligible 200 and 300-level blind students across all courses. In 2024, the number of scholarships has increased from 60 to 100, with the annual award also rising to N300,000.
- Top 10 UTME Scholarship: Automatically awarded to the top 10 scoring candidates of the UTME as announced by JAMB. These scholarships are given from 100 level through to graduation, regardless of the course of study or institution, with the award amount increasing to N300,000 annually.
Eligibility Criteria:
To qualify for the MTN Scholarships 2024, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be a Nigerian student in a public tertiary institution (universities, polytechnics, colleges of education).
- For MTN STS, be a 300-level student in Science & Technology-related courses.
- For MTN SBS, be a 200 or 300-level blind student in any course.
- Maintain a minimum CGPA of 3.0/4 or 3.5/5 for university and college of education STEM students, and 3.0 for polytechnic STEM students.
- Blind students should have a minimum CGPA of 2.5 in universities and colleges of education, and 2.0 in polytechnics.
