The UTS Next Emerging Global Leader Scholar Award offers an unparalleled opportunity for one international postgraduate student to fully immerse in the American University experience without the financial burden. Valued at USD 4,000, the scholarship covers all billable expenses, including full tuition, room, and board, for four years of undergraduate study, contingent on maintaining satisfactory academic performance. This award is open to students from any country who require a non-immigrant visa (preferably an F-1 or J-1 student visa) to study in the United States and are interested in any of the majors offered at AU.

Eligibility for this award is specific, targeting students who have faced challenges and come from diverse and underrepresented backgrounds globally. To apply, candidates must not be U.S. citizens or permanent residents and should not have commenced any post-secondary studies in their home country or the United States. Applicants should have a minimum GPA of 3.8 (or be in the top 10% of their class) and demonstrate a strong commitment to leadership and community service. The selection process is competitive, with priority given to those who complete the application process by December 15, 2023, including proof of English proficiency and financial capability. Finalists may be required to participate in Zoom interviews or submit additional essays.
