ZNF AI & Data Science Scholarship – Nigerian Students 2024


The Zeribe Nwosu Foundation is excited to announce the launch of its inaugural Zeribe Nwosu Scholarship (ZNS) on Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (ZNS AIDS). This scholarship is available to undergraduate students and recent graduates of Nigerian universities and polytechnics who demonstrate a passion for AI and data science. The ZNS AIDS is designed to support the growth and development of young people in Nigeria who are interested in these fields.

The ZNS AIDS will award N150,000 to at least three awardees who meet the eligibility criteria. To be considered for the scholarship, applicants must be at least in year 4 of undergraduate studies and no more than one year since project defence. Additionally, applicants must have a cumulative grade point aggregate (CGPA) of at least 3.5 on a scale of 5 from years 1-3. There is no restriction on the field of study, and graduates must have a final CGPA of at least 3.0 on a scale of 5.0 or a rough conversion of 60%.

Applicants must submit a personal statement, CV, one letter of recommendation, and unofficial transcripts of year 1-3 academic records. Additionally, applicants must provide an undergraduate admission letter, a statement of need, and a work/practical portfolio that showcases their experience in AI, data science, or both. This portfolio can include publications, a GitHub profile, software/App developed, a website or database created/maintained, or other relevant materials that demonstrate analytical abilities.

The application window for the ZNS AIDS is open from January 1 to April 1, 2024. Applicants will be informed of the review decision by June 20, with interviews taking place from July 1-20.
