Are you a young leader passionate about creating positive change in the world? The Z Zurich Foundation Scholarship 2024 is your opportunity to participate in the One Young World Summit 2024, the world’s most international community of young leaders. This fully-funded scholarship is available to 30 young leaders from around the world who are working on prevention-focused mental well-being projects, adaptation-focused climate resilience projects, or projects enabling social equity through education, employability or entrepreneurship solutions.
The Z Zurich Foundation is committed to creating a brighter future for vulnerable people through prevention-focused work. Their three pillars – adapting to climate change, improving mental well-being, and enabling social equity – are increasingly urgent, complex issues that have far-reaching impacts on individuals, communities, and society as a whole. By supporting impactful leaders to participate in the One Young World Summit, the foundation aims to foster connections between those in the know and those most in need and to tackle society’s challenges from the ground up.
In addition to attending the One Young World Summit 2024 in Montréal, Canada from 18 – 21 September, scholarship recipients will have access to additional programming organised by Z Zurich Foundation. This programming is likely to include pre and post-One Young World Summit sessions, including opportunities to meet and learn with the wider Z Zurich Foundation delegation, and an impact-focused development day on the Sunday (22 September) of conference week. Recipients will also receive hotel accommodation in Montréal between 17 and 23 (inclusive) September, return air travel, catering which includes breakfast, lunch and dinner, and ground transportation between Summit venues in Montréal.
To be eligible for the Z Zurich Foundation Scholarship 2024, you must be aged 18 to 30 at the time of the One Young World Summit 2024, have a passion for local and global issues, and have a demonstrated commitment to creating positive change. You must also be willing to engage and collaborate with fellow scholarship recipients and Zurich employees who are also attending the Summit. Your work must demonstrate impact in a field aligned with the work of the Z Zurich Foundation, namely improving mental well-being, enabling social equity, or adapting to climate change.
