The World Bank’s Development Impact Evaluation (DIME) team is excited to announce a unique opportunity for professionals passionate about leveraging data analytics and research to enhance public policy and development effectiveness. We are seeking 25 talented consultants to join us in advancing our global portfolio of impact evaluations across 19 innovative projects. These roles offer a chance to collaborate with both the DIME team and esteemed external researchers through all stages of impact evaluations, from the initial study design to the final analysis. Our mission at DIME is to foster the integration of data-driven analytics and impact evaluation research into the formulation and implementation of public policies. This approach aims to amplify the impact of development investments, fortify institutional capacities for evidence-based policymaking, and generate actionable insights in key strategic areas of development. By joining our team, consultants and interns will have the privilege of contributing to a wide array of projects spanning various sectors such as agriculture, climate change, finance, human development, and more, thus playing a pivotal role in shaping effective development strategies.
To be considered for these impactful roles, candidates must meet specific requirements. For Research Assistants and Field Coordinators, a master’s degree in relevant fields such as economics, public policy, or computer science is required, along with strong quantitative research skills. Proficiency in data analysis tools like Stata or R, experience in survey programming, and familiarity with advanced analytical techniques are highly valued. Additionally, candidates should have a proven track record in impact evaluation and field research, especially within developing country contexts. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in diverse teams are also essential. For Junior Field Coordinators, a bachelor’s degree in relevant fields and local language fluency are necessary.
The selection process includes an application submission by April 2, 2024, through the World Bank’s portal.
