In an exciting development for young African women leaders, Women In Africa (WIA) Philanthropy is thrilled to unveil the latest iteration of its transformative WIA Young Leaders program. Now in its fourth edition, this initiative stands at the forefront of fostering the talents of women poised to spearhead the African revolution. With the esteemed partnership of global powerhouses such as Dior, Lazard, KPMG, and TotalEnergies, this year’s program promises unparalleled opportunities for growth, learning, and global networking.

At the heart of the WIA Young Leaders program is a commitment to nurturing the leadership potential of African women. This year, ten exceptional leaders will embark on a journey of professional and personal development through a bespoke training regimen. This program is meticulously designed to enhance women’s leadership abilities and equip them with the skills necessary for tomorrow’s challenges. Participants will enjoy the rare chance to be mentored by distinguished figures, partake in an enriching business trip to a major economic hub, and immerse themselves in a high-calibre professional network. The exposure to international events, experts in their fields, and media visibility will serve as a springboard for these leaders to leave an indelible mark on the world stage.

Eligibility for the WIA Young Leaders program is broad, welcoming women aged 25 to 40 (with some flexibility based on experience) who are either born in Africa or of African descent. The program seeks individuals who are actively contributing to the continent’s development and demonstrate exemplary leadership qualities such as humility, empathy, and resilience. A profound vision for Africa’s future, coupled with the ability to blend business acumen with social impact, will set applicants apart. Proficiency in English, French, or both, is highly desirable.
