Women for Africa Foundation (FMxA) Postgraduate Scholarship Program for African Students 2024

The esteemed Women for Africa Foundation proudly announces the return of its flagship Learn Africa postgraduate scholarship program, now entering an impressive eleventh year. This remarkable initiative has already supported 350 women from 35 different African nations, aiding many in completing their studies in Spain or Morocco. These scholars have not only entered the job market back in their home countries with great success but have also pursued doctoral studies, showcasing the program’s significant impact on empowering African women through education.

This year, the Foundation is excited to emphasize its dedication to doctoral scholarships, offering an unprecedented number for applicants. Additionally, the commitment to fostering academic excellence in STEM disciplines continues, with the introduction of cutting-edge fields such as artificial intelligence, biotechnology, food safety, and sustainable construction. A total of 98 scholarships are available this edition—76 new scholarships and 22 for continuing students—made possible by the generous support of over 50 partners, including academic institutions and private sponsors like GMV, ASISA Foundation, and ANESVAD Foundation.

The Women for Africa Foundation Scholarship Program offers substantial benefits, including full tuition coverage for online courses and a comprehensive package for face-to-face learners that includes tuition, travel, accommodation, meals, and health insurance. Prospective applicants must be African women residing in Africa, enrolled in or holding a degree from an African university. Specific scholarship requirements vary, and interested individuals are encouraged to review each scholarship’s criteria carefully. Required application documents include personal identification, academic records, a CV, motivation and reference letters, and potentially an official language certificate among others. While the application deadline is yet to be announced, potential candidates are urged to prepare their documentation, adhering to specified formats and size limits, to ensure a smooth application process.

For those driven to further their education and make an impact in their fields, the Women for Africa Foundation Scholarship Program represents a golden opportunity.
