To be eligible, applicants must hold a student visa, have a minimum admission average, and demonstrate leadership qualities and a commitment to academic and extra-curricular activities. The scholarship can be renewed for the three following years, provided the student maintains full-time enrollment, international student status and a minimum CGPA of 8.50.

The University of Ottawa also offers other scholarships, such as the Chancellor’s Scholarship for International Students, valued at $26,000, and the Faculty of Engineering Memorial Scholarship, which is awarded to seven female students. To apply for the scholarships, applicants should follow the guidelines provided on the university’s official website.

The University of Ottawa encourages all international students to take advantage of its scholarship program. To apply, students should apply to the university and receive their access ID and password. They should then explore all scholarship opportunities through the Online Scholarships and Bursaries search engine, which is available on the university’s website under the Applications tab. All scholarship and bursary applications must be submitted online, with the deadline varying depending on the scholarship.
