University of Gävle Scholarship for African Students in International Social Work 2024

The University of Gävle is proud to offer a scholarship opportunity to high-performing international students who are required to pay tuition fees. The Iyabo Theresa Ogionwo Memorial Foundation has initiated and funded this scholarship, covering the entire tuition fee for studies at Bachelor of Science in Social Work – Specialization International Social Work, commencing August 2023. The deadline for the autumn semester of 2023 has passed, and applicants selected for an interview, as well as unsuccessful applicants having submitted a proper application, have been informed by email. The scholarship application period for the August 2024 semester will be from January 19 to February 19, 2023. To qualify for the scholarship, you must be a citizen of a country in Africa, show interest in the field of International Social Work, Development Studies, Eco-social Work, and Green Social Work, rank the programme Bachelor of Science in Social Work – Specialization International Social Work as your priority at universityadmissions.se, apply to the programme before the universityadmissions.se deadline on January 16, 2023, and pay the application fee and send supporting documents to universityadmissions.se in time.

The selection process for the scholarship includes admission to the study programme, grades from upper secondary education, a motivation letter, and an interview by representatives from the university and the Iyabo Theresa Ogionwo Memorial Foundation. The scholarship covers the entire tuition fee, but not living expenses, for studies at Bachelor of Science in Social Work – Specialization International Social Work commencing August 2024.
