University of Exeter Global Excellence Scholarships in UK 2024/25


The University of Exeter is proud to announce its Global Excellence Scholarships for outstanding students worldwide interested in pursuing a degree program at the institution for the 2024/25 academic sessions. This scholarship program is open to international students from Sub-Saharan Africa and the Indian Ocean. Successful applicants will receive a tuition fee reduction of £5,000 to £10,000 annually.

As an international student, you are eligible for this tuition award if you have already received an offer for an eligible full-time postgraduate taught degree at the University of Exeter commencing in September 2025. The scholarship is available for postgraduate courses offered at the University. You must also provide evidence of meeting the University of Exeter’s minimum English language proficiency requirements.

The selection criteria for the University of Exeter Global Excellence Scholarships are based on academic merit, future career ambitions, a genuine need for the scholarship, social responsibility, and willingness to engage with the Exeter community. The scholarship application requires a personal statement of no more than 300 words, which should answer the following questions:

  1. What is your interest in your chosen study programme, and what do you hope to learn?
  2. What are your future ambitions, and how will your studies help you to achieve them?
  3. What difference would being awarded a Global Excellence Scholarship make to you?
  4. How might you act as an ambassador for the University as a Global Excellence Scholar?
