Shedding light on the experiences of sole carers, The Macqueen Scholarship aims to support postgraduate social work research focusing on one-parent families. This scholarship opportunity is made possible through a generous donation from The Julie-Ann Macqueen Trust, honouring Ms Macqueen’s advocacy for single-parent families.
By centring its research on the challenges faced by single caregivers in one-parent households, The Macqueen Scholarship offers a unique chance to delve deeper into the lives of these individuals. The insights gained from this research can pave the way for meaningful enhancements in the daily lives of single caregivers and their families.
The University of Edinburgh Macqueen Scholarship provides substantial benefits, including full tuition fees coverage at UK, EU, or Overseas levels, a stipend set at the UKRI level for 2024/25, and an annual research grant of £750.
