Are you a national and resident of a Bartlett-approved Sub-Saharan African country? Do you have admission to a Bartlett master’s course? If so, you might be eligible for The Bartlett Promise Sub-Saharan Africa Scholarship.
The Bartlett Promise is a long-term commitment to attract and support students from a broader range of backgrounds to study at The Bartlett, to tackle the lack of diversity in the built environment sector. The scholarship covers full overseas tuition fees, an annual allowance of £16,008 to cover living and study expenses for the normal duration of the programme at UCL, a flight to/from the UK, UK Study Visa costs, English language assessment costs, health test costs and the NHS Immigration Health Supplement charge. Additionally, all Promise scholars will receive ongoing academic and career support during their studies.
Candidates for The Bartlett Promise Sub-Saharan Africa Scholarship must be a national of one of The Bartlett’s approved list 2 of Sub-Saharan African (SSA) countries and resident in an eligible SSA country, must not hold British or dual British citizenship, have an offer of admission to a Bartlett Master’s course for study in 2024-25 which is either unconditional or conditional only on the English language and must be in financial need as assessed by UCL.
Candidates who are forced migrants, the first generation in the family to attend university at the undergraduate level, or the first generation in the family to attend university at the postgraduate level, and meet all other eligibility criteria, will be given additional consideration.
The application period for The Bartlett Promise Sub-Saharan Africa Scholarship is from 15 February to 3 April 2024. To be eligible for the scholarship, candidates must have an offer of a place on a Bartlett master’s course. The Bartlett Promise application form will open on 15 February 2024 and close on 3 April 2024 at 23.45 BST. For more information, visit the UCL website.
