Tongarewa Scholarship – Victoria University of Wellington 2024-2025

The Victoria University of Wellington is offering international students a chance to celebrate their commitment to their diverse student community by offering the Tongarewa Scholarship. The scholarship is available for students who are entering their first year of undergraduate study or a postgraduate degree programme at the university. The scholarship aims to help students act as ambassadors for the university and participate in appropriate events or marketing activities when requested.

The Tongarewa Scholarship is available for students pursuing a Bachelor’s degree, Masters by Research degree, or Masters by Coursework degree in any subject. The scholarship provides partial fee-based support ranging from NZ$5,000 to NZ$10,000 towards tuition fees for one year of study. Recipients of the Scholarship are guaranteed an offer of a place in the Halls of Residence, provided an accommodation application is received by the Accommodation Service by the required deadline.

The scholarship is open for international students from all over the world who are paying full international fees. Applicants should have received an offer of a place from Victoria University of Wellington (conditional or unconditional). The scholarship application deadlines are 1 June 2023 for (Trimester 2, 2023), 1 September 2023 (Trimester 3, 2023) and 30 November 2023 for (Trimester 1, 2024).
