Singapore-ICAO Developing Countries Training Programme 2024

In 2001, the Singapore Government and the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) established the Developing Countries Training Programme (DCTP). Administered by the ICAO Technical Cooperation Bureau, the DCTP has recently been renewed for another three years (April 2022 to March 2025). This program offers 330 Fellowships and 10 Scholarships to government officials from eligible developing ICAO Member States to participate in specialized training programs conducted by the Singapore Aviation Academy (SAA).

The Benefits of the Singapore-ICAO Developing Countries Training Programme include the coverage of training fees, a daily allowance of Sixty Singapore Dollars (S$60), and hotel accommodation for accepted participants. Complimentary breakfast will be provided at the hotel, with lunch at SAA during training days. However, travel arrangements must be arranged and funded by the nominating Governments. Participants will also receive hotel accommodation for the training duration, limited daily allowance, and certain travel restrictions.

To be eligible for the program, participants must be nominated by their respective Governments, with a preference of not more than 2 candidates per course. The selection process involves informing applicants of the outcome 8 weeks before the course start date. Successful applicants will receive an Award Letter via email and need to confirm acceptance of the award by submitting a copy of the confirmed e-ticket. The application deadline for the next cycle is December 15, 2024. If interested, applicants can find the nomination form on the official website and submit the necessary documents to apply for this incredible opportunity.
