SEforALL Women in STEM Traineeship 2024

SEforALL in partnership with EM-One Energy Solutions is providing a unique opportunity for 12 recent female graduates in Sierra Leone. This program aims to provide hands-on technical training in solar energy under the FCDO-funded health electrification project. The training will enable graduates to gain experience in various areas of sustainable energy, including energy efficiency and conservation, PV systems, standalone and off-grid systems, integrated systems, battery sizing, inverter and charge controller sizing, current and voltage measurements, and performance characteristics. Graduates will also learn about solar panel installations, using simulation software to design PV system dimensions, assessing site economic viability using measured radiation data, installing, integrating and commissioning solar systems, and remote monitoring and system maintenance.


The SEforALL Women in STEM Traineeship is open to female graduates between the ages of 18-35 years, who have obtained bachelor’s or master’s degrees (within the past 2 years) in a STEM field, such as sciences, renewable energy, engineering, or related areas. Applicants must have 1-3 years of professional experience in energy, engineering, or a similar field and demonstrate completion of technical education or courses related to the topics covered in the program. They must also be willing to learn and apply new skills, have excellent communication and collaboration skills, and be available for the entire duration of the training program.
