Our mission stems from a recognition of the barriers that hold back many young African descendants from pursuing careers in technology – including misconceptions about the industry’s prestige, a lack of awareness, and limited access to essential resources.
The AIT Program is our response to these challenges, offering a comprehensive four-year scholarship and mentorship journey. Participants in the AIT initiative enjoy a plethora of benefits, including a scholarship award of up to $2,000 over four years, personalized guidance from industry experts, professional development opportunities such as job readiness training, and exclusive access to a vibrant community of tech professionals. Eligibility for this transformative program is open to first-year college or university students in the U.S. for the academic year 2024-2025, with a keen interest in technology fields such as Software Engineering, Data Science, or Information Security, among others. Applicants must be of African descent and come from a low-income household. The selection process involves an application due by April 27, 2024, followed by interviews for selected candidates, with final decisions communicated by July 2024.
