To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants are required to have a high school certificate or its equivalent, with a minimum high school average of 95%. Additionally, applicants must receive final acceptance into the university and meet the admission requirements for the college they have applied to. The scholarship is only applicable for the semester in which it was awarded and recipients are expected to maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0, complete a minimum of 12 hours per semester, and remain registered continuously until graduation.
Successful applicants for the Qatar University International Students Scholarship will receive an exemption from tuition and textbook fees, a monthly salary of 500 QR, student housing (two students per room) including transportation to/from campus, an annual round-trip airfare ticket, and a residence permit under QU sponsorship.
To apply for the scholarship, international students may apply through the online admission application in the “Scholarship Application” section during the announced application period. The scholarship committee may also consider the applicant’s standard test scores in English (IELTS or TOEFL) and in Mathematics (SAT, ACT, QU Math Placer) or other test scores selected by the committee.
