NileWell Scientist-Journalist Co-Production Fellowship Program 2024

Embark on a transformative journey with the NileWell Scientist-Journalist Co-Production Fellowship Program, a unique opportunity where 16 participants, comprising 8 journalists and 8 scientists, will be selected to delve into the realms of biodiversity reporting, transboundary water resources reporting, science journalism, science communication, and data journalism. This fellowship program is designed to equip both scientists and journalists with the skills to collaborate effectively, starting with an in-person residential training workshop, followed by online training sessions, mentorship, collaborative projects, and public engagement events.

Participants of the program will engage in co-producing various communication outputs based on the research of scientists, including stories, podcasts, Twitter threads, blog posts, short videos, MoJo videos, and more. The NileWell Scientist-Journalist Co-Production Fellowship Program offers a grant of $800 and is partially funded, with the application deadline set for March 31, 2024.
