Nigerian English Language Assistants to teach in France Program - Young Nigerians 2024/2025

Attention all Nigerian French-speaking students! Are you interested in spending seven months as an English Language Assistant in France? If so, the Embassy of France in Nigeria has an exciting opportunity for you. Applications are now open for the position of English language assistant to work in France during the 2024-2025 school year. This program offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the French language and culture while sharing the richness of Nigerian culture with students in French schools. Not only does this program offer the chance for personal and professional growth, but it also adds undeniable value to your career.

The Ambassade de France au Nigeria English Language Assistants Program provides a monthly remuneration of €1,010.67 gross (before deduction of various compulsory deductions) which amounts to approximately €800 to €813 net. You will also receive the same holidays as French students and colleagues. Educational establishments in France are administered under an academy, and candidates can be assigned to any academy location, urban or rural.

To be eligible for the program, candidates must be Nigerian citizens between 20 and 30 years old, have completed their secondary education in Nigeria, and be enrolled in or have graduated from university within two years before the application. A minimum B1 Level in French is required, and candidates must be native English speakers. Single candidates are preferred, as the salary of an assistant is not adequate to support dependents.

If you meet the requirements, you will be contacted for an interview in one of the designated locations depending on the city closest to your place of residence: Abuja (Institut français du Nigeria) and Alliances Françaises in Lagos, Port Harcourt, Ibadan, Enugu, Kaduna, Owerri, Ilorin, Kano, Jos, or Maiduguri. The duration of the contract is 7 months, during which you will work 12 hours a week.

Interested in applying? The application deadline is January 19, 2024. Head to assistants.france-education-international.fr to submit your application and take the first step towards an unforgettable experience as an English Language Assistant in France!
