  • Applicants must originate from any of the NLNG host communities in Rivers State.
  • Candidates should be enrolled in Basic Six within any Rivers State public primary school.
  • Applicants should not be recipients of any other scholarships, bursaries, or financial aid from alternative organizations.
  • The age limit for applicants is 12 years.
  • Immediate family members of Nigeria LNG Limited employees are ineligible to apply.

Selection Criteria:

To be considered for the scholarship, applicants must:

  • Be a Basic Six pupil attending a public primary school in Rivers State.
  • Secure provisional admission from one of the following NLNG partner secondary schools:
    • Hallel College (Boarding), Rukpokwu, Port Harcourt
    • Archdeacon Brown Secondary School, Woji, Port Harcourt
    • Christie Toby Education Center, Iriebe
  • Present results from Basic 4, Basic 5, and Basic 6.
  • Submit an attestation letter from their current Headmaster or Headmistress, including contact details.
  • Provide a letter confirming their indigene status from either the CDC Chairman or community Chief.
  • Submit a letter of identification from their Local Government Council.
  • Provide a recent passport-sized photo (taken no earlier than January 2024) without glasses.
  • Furnish a birth certificate from the Nigeria Population Commission (NPC).
