Moolu Venture Lab, in partnership with other organizations, has launched the NextechCzar incubation event initiative for startups in Nigeria. The primary objective of the initiative is to identify, nurture, and finance the next generation of innovative solutions that can stimulate economic growth, enhance productivity, and create employment opportunities in the country. This program aims to promote and facilitate creativity within the digital sector, supporting new solutions that can bring about cost-effective, scalable, and transformative positive changes.
The incubation program has two tracks. The early-stage track is designed for startups that are yet to validate their product in the market, while the growth phase is for post-revenue startups. The NextechCzar focuses on technology-enabled businesses in key sectors such as financial services, agriculture, health, education, circular economy, e-mobility, e-commerce, marketplaces, renewables, power, and climate. These sectors were chosen due to the significant impact innovations in these areas can have on the Nigerian economy. Applications from innovative businesses operating within these sectors will be evaluated by a panel of expert judges.
Moolu Venture Lab provides funding, mentorship, access to markets, and a collaborative community to support and guide startup founders. The program aims to empower emerging Nigerian innovators and boost the growth of the digital economy. Equity funding will be provided to participating startups after the program.
