As a Relief Behavioral Health Worker, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment for patients at Stanton Territorial Hospital. Your responsibilities will include responding to violent situations, providing close observation of patients who may harm themselves or others, and addressing behavioural issues in a constructive and non-threatening manner. You will also assist in the day-to-day management of the psychiatric unit under the direction of the Clinical Coordinator or Registered Nurse.
To qualify for this position, you must have a diploma in Human or Social Services with at least one year of related experience, or four or more years of experience working with individuals with serious mental health and/or intellectual/developmental disabilities in a healthcare setting, group home, or other social services/justice/security setting. Equivalencies will also be considered on a case-by-case basis.
