Are you a collaborative, agile, and solutions-oriented individual with a strong service orientation and leadership skills? Service Alberta and Red Tape Reduction is looking for someone like you to join their team in Edmonton as the Director of Consumer Programs. As part of the Consumer Services Branch leadership team, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that Alberta’s consumer marketplace is safe by effectively administering consumer protection legislation, overseeing program professionals, and collaborating with stakeholders, other levels of government, and other jurisdictions.
To be successful in this position, you’ll need to have a university degree in a related field, supplemented by seven years of progressively responsible experience in policy and legislative development, regulatory enforcement and administration, or designing, delivering, and evaluating programs and services. Your knowledge of legislation, administrative and civil law, and the consumer marketplace and industry trends will be instrumental in guiding your leadership and oversight of a team of statute administrators. You’ll also need to possess excellent communication skills to interact effectively with diverse audiences in dynamic environments, as well as strong project and change management skills.
This is a permanent, full-time position working 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
