Looking for a fulfilling career in Mental Health? We have an exciting opportunity for you! A temporary full-time position of Mental Health Social Worker I (BSW) is now open in Windsor, ON. As part of the RCC- Access Intake & Service Planning department, the successful candidate will work on a multidisciplinary team, completing the intake process for children and youth experiencing emotional/behavioural/social difficulties and their families.
As the Mental Health Social Worker I will work closely with parents and community services to determine the service needs of the clients. In addition, the successful candidate may be requested to co-facilitate treatment groups for children/youth. Excellent clinical skills in areas of assessment and crisis intervention with children, youth, and families are required. As the Mental Health Social Worker I will also need to have a high level of judgment, independence, and initiative.
To be eligible for the position, you must possess a Bachelor of Social Work degree with clinical specialization in the areas of children and families. Additionally, you should have current certification of registration issued through the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. The ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, is required. Also, you should have demonstrated interpersonal skills with community agency representatives, other professionals, children, and their families.
