Introducing the Generation Connect Young Leadership Programme (GCYLP), a dynamic initiative designed to engage, empower, and inspire young digital leaders and changemakers worldwide. GCYLP is dedicated to supporting visionary young individuals who are passionate about implementing creative, innovative, and impactful community-driven projects aimed at fostering a more inclusive and empowered digital future.
In collaboration with Huawei, ITU is offering guidance, training, and financial backing to 30 young fellows annually, empowering them to implement digital development projects in their diverse communities globally. Through this program, young leaders have the exceptional opportunity to bring their digital development ideas to life or enhance the impact of their ongoing projects.
The benefits of participating in the ITU/Huawei Generation Connect Young Leadership Programme include virtual mentorship and leadership training sessions, the chance to partake in a global training week, and up to a $10,000 grant to execute a digital development project of their choice. This partially funded opportunity welcomes both men and women aged 18-28 who are enthusiastic about leading digital initiatives and have a background in STEM or a STEM-related field. The application deadline for the programme is March 23, 2024, and interested individuals can apply through Huawei’s website on forms.office.com. Join us in shaping a brighter digital future through the Generation Connect Young Leadership Programme!
