HZDR Summer Student Program – Students Worldwide 2024

Are you a master’s or diploma student in natural sciences or related areas looking to gain hands-on experience in scientific research? Look no further than the HZDR Summer Student Program! Every summer between July and September, the Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf (HZDR) offers international students the opportunity to join their research groups and participate in their activities.

As a participant in the program, you’ll work closely with HZDR researchers who will design a project plan for you, supervise your progress, and provide coaching throughout the project. You’ll also attend a range of lectures and lab tours, introducing you to the various branches of the research centre. Through this program, HZDR contributes to the development of scientific research at an international and interdisciplinary level.

But that’s not all! Participants in the HZDR Summer Student Program receive 36 Euros per day to cover their daily expenses, accommodation throughout their stay, travel tickets, and travel insurance. You’ll attend scientific lectures, have individual discussion sessions, and meet with your supervisors to receive feedback on your performance.

To be eligible for the program, you must be a student of Master’s or diploma in physical sciences, life sciences, or any other related natural sciences. You must have a Bachelor’s degree and a good academic record, as well as a valid enrollment from your university. A good knowledge of the English language is also required, as the program is conducted in English. You must ensure your presence from July 29, 2024, to August 30, 2024.

To apply, interested and qualified candidates should visit the Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf (HZDR) website and submit their CV in English, a copy of their academic records, a copy of their student ID, and a letter of recommendation. The application deadline is February 23, 2024.
