As a participant in the program, you’ll work closely with HZDR researchers who will design a project plan for you, supervise your progress, and provide coaching throughout the project. You’ll also attend a range of lectures and lab tours, introducing you to the various branches of the research centre. Through this program, HZDR contributes to the development of scientific research at an international and interdisciplinary level.

But that’s not all! Participants in the HZDR Summer Student Program receive 36 Euros per day to cover their daily expenses, accommodation throughout their stay, travel tickets, and travel insurance. You’ll attend scientific lectures, have individual discussion sessions, and meet with your supervisors to receive feedback on your performance.

To be eligible for the program, you must be a student of Master’s or diploma in physical sciences, life sciences, or any other related natural sciences. You must have a Bachelor’s degree and a good academic record, as well as a valid enrollment from your university. A good knowledge of the English language is also required, as the program is conducted in English. You must ensure your presence from July 29, 2024, to August 30, 2024.
