The Allan and Nesta Ferguson Scholarships for the 2024/25 academic session are now accepting applications from qualified candidates. This scholarship offers a fully funded one-year scholarship to pursue full-time master’s study in the UK for applicants from developing countries. The scholarship was established jointly by the Allan & Nesta Ferguson Charitable Trust and the University of East Anglia to promote educational advancement, international friendship, and the promotion of world peace and development.
Several scholarships are available to postgraduate students from developing countries who meet the eligibility criteria. To be eligible, candidates must be citizens and permanent residents of developing countries based on the United Nations Human Development Index Report 2020. They must not have undertaken studies lasting one year or more in a developed country and must be unable themselves, or through their families, to pay to study in the UK. Candidates must agree to return to their home country as soon as they have completed their studies and be available to take up the award in September 2024. Candidates must have obtained a good bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized university.
The scholarship benefits include tuition fees, maintenance stipends, return economy travel, visa expenses, and other allowances.
