This annual event calls for solution-driven essays that delve into significant national matters, offering a unique opportunity for you to contribute your insightful perspectives.
The Union of Campus Journalists Essay Contest is not just about showcasing your writing skills; it’s an opportunity to voice your ideas and potentially influence strategies to combat corruption in Nigeria. This is your chance to instigate change and inspire others with innovative approaches to a longstanding issue.
The essay topic for 2024 is “BLESSED YET IMPOVERISHED: HOW CAN NIGERIA SOLVE ITS CORRUPTION ISSUES?” Your challenge is to explore this critical issue and propose innovative solutions to one of Nigeria’s most pressing problems. The first-place winner will receive N250,000, the second-place winner will receive N150,000, and the third-place winner will receive N100,000.
To apply, you must be an undergraduate student in a Nigerian university. Your essay should be between 1500 and 2000 words and formatted in Times New Roman font, size 12, with 1.5 line spacing. Email your entry to [email protected], including your essay and a copy of your school ID in separate PDF files.
