EPFL Excellence Fellowships 2024-2025

Are you an academically outstanding student looking to pursue a Bachelors or Masters degree in Switzerland? Then the EPFL Excellence Fellowship may be the perfect opportunity for you! EPFL offers a limited number of fellowships at the bachelor and master levels to exceptional students who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement in both school and extracurricular activities.

The EPFL Excellence Fellowship is available for all students, including international students, who have achieved remarkable results throughout their pre-university curriculum. EPFL grants a limited number of fellowships to the most deserving candidates based on their academic records. The fellowship includes CHF 10,000 per semester and a student room reservation in a student residence. For Bachelor’s studies, the fellowship is spread over three years, while for Master’s studies, the fellowship will be paid for four semesters, provided that students have obtained at least 50 ECTS credits and have an overall average of 5,0/6 for the fellowship to be renewed.

EPFL offers Excellence Fellowships in partnership with foundations and companies, in addition to those financed by the institution. The fellowships are open to all eligible Masters programs offered at the university, and the number of awards is limited.

To apply for the Bachelor Excellence Fellowship, students in their final year of high school must check the corresponding box on their Bachelor’s application form before 30 April and provide the requested application file. For the Master’s Excellence Fellowship, candidates should apply via the same online form as their application to a master’s program by 15 April or 15 December (there is a box to tick indicating that the candidate’s profile should also be considered for an excellence fellowship).
