The Einstein Forum and the Wittenstein Foundation jointly offer a prestigious fellowship aimed at nurturing exceptional young intellectuals interested in exploring projects outside their previous research fields. This fellowship is designed to support individuals who not only excel in their specialized areas but also embrace interdisciplinary perspectives, inspired by the legendary Albert Einstein himself.
The fellowship provides a unique opportunity for the selected fellow to reside in the garden cottage of Einstein’s summerhouse in Caputh, Brandenburg, for a period of five to six months. Situated conveniently close to the academic hubs of Potsdam and Berlin, the fellow will receive a generous stipend of EUR 10,000 along with travel expense coverage.
Applicants for the 2024 Einstein Fellowship must be under 35 years old, hold a university degree in humanities, social sciences, or natural sciences, and be prepared to present their project in a public lecture at the Einstein Forum and Wittenstein Foundation upon completion of the fellowship. The proposed project should demonstrate quality, originality, and feasibility, showcasing the applicant’s intellectual prowess. To apply, candidates need to submit a CV, a two-page project proposal, and two letters of recommendation by the deadline of June 1, 2024. This fellowship opportunity is not intended for those looking to continue existing academic studies but rather for innovators seeking to embark on new intellectual journeys.
