Are you a talented and determined low-income student in Nigeria seeking financial assistance to further your education? The United States Embassy, Nigeria is proud to announce the 11th year of the EducationUSA Opportunity Funds Program (OFP), aimed at identifying academically qualified individuals lacking the financial resources to cover upfront costs for admission to U.S. colleges and universities.
OFP’s mission is to support motivated students through the application process, providing financial aid for application costs and standardized exam fees. Participants also benefit from free membership to the U.S. EducationUSA Advising Center. To be eligible, applicants must commit their time and energy to the program, demonstrating a sincere dedication to pursuing their educational dreams in the United States.
Students from all states in Nigeria are encouraged to apply, with selected participants working closely with EducationUSA Advisors from June 2024 to August 2025 to secure admission and financial aid for study in the U.S. The selection process is competitive, focusing on academic excellence, extracurricular involvement, leadership experience, community service, and demonstrated financial need.
