DAAD/NELGA Postdoctoral Research Fellowships 2024

Key initiatives include supporting the African Land Policy Centre (ALPC) in establishing a Network of Excellence on Land Governance in Africa (NELGA) to enhance training capacities in land management and policy across Africa. Fellowships under the NELGA umbrella cater to both postdoctoral and short-term research opportunities, targeting young African researchers to delve into critical issues surrounding land management, governance, and policy in Africa. These fellowships serve to reinforce institutional capabilities in the field and promote evidence-based policy formulation. The DAAD/NELGA Postdoctoral Research Fellowships offer a monthly stipend of EUR 800 along with training workshops on Advocacy for Research Output. Moreover, support for scientific publication expenses up to EUR 1500 may be provided upon request, subject to fund availability.
