The Ban Ki-moon Centre for Global Citizens (BKMC) is thrilled to invite applications for the 7th round of the Global Citizen Scholarship Program, designed to empower young African global citizens who are enthusiastic about advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This virtual scholarship program aims to equip African change-makers with the tools to implement localized SDG Micro-Projects in their communities. Participants will also have the opportunity to engage in a summer school, receive peer-to-peer mentoring, and attend expert training and workshops on relevant topics.
Eligibility criteria for the Ban Ki-moon Global Citizen Scholarship include being an African youth aged between 20-35, irrespective of race, gender, or sexual orientation. Applicants must hold citizenship from Ghana, Nigeria, Cameroon, Ethiopia, or Kenya, have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, and demonstrate a strong commitment to the SDGs and global citizenship principles. Additionally, a minimum English proficiency level of B2 (European Standards) is required for applicants.
