Africa Scholarship Program Wageningen University And Research 2024

The Africa Scholarship Programme (ASP) is an unparalleled opportunity for talented and motivated African students to pursue a Master’s degree at Wageningen University, while simultaneously supporting capacity building in Africa. The programme is open to both men and women from African countries who meet the stringent eligibility requirements.

The Wageningen University And Research Africa Scholarship Program offers numerous benefits to its participants. The scholarship covers travel to and from the Netherlands, living expenses for the 24-month program, tuition fees, insurance costs, and a budget for a seminar in Europe.

To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must be citizens of an African country, have applied for a master’s programme at Wageningen University & Research before the stipulated deadline, and be unconditionally admitted to the MSc programme. Additionally, applicants are required to be in the top 5% of their class, with a first-class honours degree and a GPA of 80% or above in a bachelor’s programme.

The selection process for the scholarship is rigorous and based on an invitation-only process. In March 2024, all students who have been unconditionally admitted to an MSc programme at Wageningen University will be assessed for eligibility. A selected group of candidates will be invited by email on March 21, 2024, to participate in the ASP selection procedure. After a thorough assessment of all received assignments, a smaller selection of candidates will be invited for an online interview with a part of the selection committee. The interviews will take place between April 23 and May 3, 2024, and the result of the selection process will be communicated to all candidates who were interviewed on May 13, 2024.

The application deadline for the scholarship is February 1, 2024. To apply for the scholarship, interested and eligible candidates must submit an application request in Studielink and upload their documents in the application portal Osiris. For more details about the scholarship and the application process, visit the Wageningen University And Research website.
