GrowAfrica is currently seeking six enthusiastic interns to contribute to Upstream and Advisory projects aimed at mitigating operational risks of IFC investment projects. These projects focus on strengthening supply chains, addressing food security, enhancing collaboration with the World Bank, and improving product traceability and food safety. Under the guidance of a Project Leader and direct supervision of a Project Coordinator, interns will gain valuable experience and actively contribute to the development of the agriculture industry. WBG/IFC GrowAfrica Internship Program: An Overview

- Coordinating and facilitating training for farmers on Good Agricultural Practices.
- Assisting in training and coaching Licensed Buying Agents on record-keeping and supply chain traceability.
- Supporting project planning, data collection, and monitoring project indicators.
- Establishing demonstration sites for participatory learning and supervising seed production programs.
- Preparing materials for major activities, launches, and media outreach.
- Promoting Sustainable Agro-ecological practices and contributing to the development of priority crop heatmaps in Africa.
Requirements:
- Candidates should preferably be pursuing a master’s or Ph.D. with at least two years of relevant work experience.
- Backgrounds in agricultural studies, crop science, agronomy, soil management, social science, or related fields are essential.
- Effective communication skills in multicultural environments are necessary, with proficiency in English and, for certain projects, Hausa, Portuguese, or French.
- Strong knowledge of agribusiness challenges and opportunities in Africa, and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and social media.
