University Of Gothenburg Axel Adler Scholarship for International Students 2024

The Axel Adler Scholarship 2024 is an esteemed tuition fee waiver that is awarded to eligible students pursuing international Master’s or Bachelor’s programmes at the University of Gothenburg. The selection of scholars is primarily based on the applicant’s qualifications concerning the study programme. The Axel Adler Scholarship is funded by the Adlerbertska Scholarship Foundation and the Adlerbertska Grant Foundation, along with the Swedish Council for Higher Education (UHR).

To be eligible for the Axel Adler Scholarship 2024, you are required to pay tuition in Sweden. You must apply for an international campus-based programme at the University of Gothenburg as your priority. Additionally, you need to submit your application for studies by 15 January 2024, pay the application fee, and document your eligibility for studies by 1 February 2024 through www.universityadmissions.se.

The scholarship covers the tuition fee of the study programme you are admitted to, and it is a tuition fee waiver only. No additional financial support for living expenses or travel grants is provided. Academic staff make the assessment and ranking based on the CV and Motivation letter in your scholarship application. The assessment is made in collaboration with the assessment of your application to the study programme to determine your suitability for the programme as well as your commitment and desire to study. There is one scholarship awarded for each programme, with an exception for Master programmes in Fine Arts, Crafts and Design, and programmes in Music and Performance, which will be awarded a total of four scholarships for all programmes.

When applying for the Axel Adler Scholarship, you shall include a CV and a Letter of Motivation as written text. These are used for the selection of scholars. In the motivational letter, you can highlight the merits of your CV. It is not possible to attach any other form of documentation to your scholarship application.

If you have applied to a programme at the University of Gothenburg as your priority through universityadmissions.se and fulfil the requirements, you will receive an email with application instructions around February 8, 2024. The invitation to apply for the Axel Adler Scholarship will be sent to the email address you have registered at universityadmissions.se. If you are eligible and have not received an email by this date (and also checked your Spam mail folder), please let the University know by sending an email to [email protected].

The deadline for the Axel Adler Scholarship application is February 1, 2024. The decision of results will be sent out via email on 27 March 2024 for Master’s programme applicants and 18 April 2024 for Bachelor’s programme applicants. For more information, please visit the University of Gothenburg website.
