Technical University of Munich Scholarships 2024 - 2025

The Technical University of Munich has opened its doors to international students for the 2024-2025 academic session by offering a variety of scholarships. These awards will help students with living expenses while they experience studying in Germany. The scholarships are being offered by TUM and a variety of foundations which are available to all types of students, regardless of their academic standing.

The scholarships are divided into standard scholarships, travel stipends, grants for studying abroad, and additional allowances to cover the printing costs for theses and dissertations. The scholarships are open to both domestic and international students who are enrolled at TUM and are pursuing all degree levels.

The eligibility criteria for the scholarship require applicants to be regular international students who are enrolling for a study programme at TUM. This includes students who are not eligible for BAföG due to their nationality, as well as those in their 3rd semester in their bachelor’s studies and 2nd semester in their master’s studies. If the bachelor’s degree has been completed at TUM, then students can apply as of the 1st semester of their master’s studies. It is also important to note that applicants from non-English speaking countries are often required to meet specific English language/other language requirements to study at TUM.

Applicants for the Technical University of Munich Scholarships to study in Germany are expected to apply after they have been accepted into the university and enrolled properly as a student. Admitted freshman applicants are automatically considered for merit-based scholarships, so no separate application forms or interviews are necessary. However, applicants are required to submit a Motivational letter, CV/resume, TUM grade report, two recommendations, Proof of the applicant’s income, Proof of parents’ income or proof of income of spouse if applicable, and any other documents depending on the program applied for.

The application deadline for the scholarship is ongoing. For more information on how to apply for the Technical University of Munich Scholarships, please visit the official website.
