Impact Pioneers ’24 is designed to empower leaders and enablers working in organizations and networks that aim to nurture and grow local impact entrepreneurship. Through an exchange of experiences, perspectives, cases, and tools, participants will enhance their skill sets and broaden their horizons. A key element of the programme is networking within an international cohort and the Swedish impact entrepreneurship ecosystem. The connections made here are intended to spark future partnerships, benefiting impact startups and scale-ups as they pursue growth and broader influence.
Aligned with Sustainable Development Goal 8, target 8.3, Impact Pioneers’ long-term objective is to promote activities and policies that support entrepreneurship, creativity, and innovation. This, in turn, encourages the formalization and growth of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises, contributing to job creation and sustainable economic, social, and environmental development.

Eligibility and Requirements
The programme is open to entrepreneurship ecosystem leaders and practitioners from 22 countries across Africa, Asia, and Europe. Applicants must be citizens and residents of one of these countries and work in organizations dedicated to nurturing and growing entrepreneurs in the sustainability and green transition sectors. Eligible roles include:
- Startup hub/accelerator/incubation founders and managers
- Tech and innovation hub founders and managers
- University accelerator/incubator managers
- Public sector employees supporting impact entrepreneurship
Applicants must also have a mandate to develop new international partnerships, a good working knowledge of English, and a commitment to actively participate and share knowledge with other participants.
Selection Process and Application
Impact Pioneers ’24 will run from late August through October 2024, featuring weekly online activities and a one-week onsite summit in Stockholm in October. Participation is fully funded by the Swedish Institute, covering learning programmes, travel, accommodation, meals, transportation, and insurance.
The application deadline is May 31, 2024. Interested candidates should apply via the Swedish Institute’s application portal. The application includes questions to assess formal requirements, a personal motivation statement, a 60-120 second video, and an updated resume/CV.
