The Nigerian economy has been facing unprecedented challenges in recent years, with a recession, shrinking oil revenues, and the impact of the Coronavirus pandemic. According to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), the youth unemployment rate in Nigeria increased from 40.80 per cent to 53.40 per cent from Q2 to Q4 in 2020. It’s a critical period in the nation’s history and there is a pressing need for leaders who are up to date with global trends, and ready to harness the enormous opportunities that the current digital revolution age presents.
