The OCI Foundation has a long-standing commitment to supporting brilliant but financially challenged students in Nigeria. With a focus on undergraduates, the Foundation offers annual financial awards to help cover the costs of studying at any registered university in Nigeria. The scholarship is awarded annually to successful applicants who demonstrate exceptional academic ability and financial need.
The OCI Foundation Undergraduate Scholarship is fully funded, covering the cost of tuition and other associated expenses until graduation. To be eligible, applicants must be from Anambra State and be able to provide a valid government-issued ID. If applicants are under 18 and are unable to provide ID, they can submit a birth certificate.
The application process is designed to identify and support financially challenged students. Applicants must provide a letter from their school’s Head of Department, certified copies of their JAMB/UME result certificate and Senior Secondary School Exam Certificate, a valid student ID, a recent passport photograph, and a letter of recognition from the Traditional Ruler of their town confirming their Local Government Area in Anambra State. Applicants must also submit a 500-word essay on “My Family.”
Renewing applicants must provide an official statement of their results for the completed years, as well as any changes in their circumstances. All successful applicants will be invited to an interview where they will need to present the original versions of their submitted documents.
The application deadline for the 2024 OCI Foundation Undergraduate Scholarship is April 26, 2024. First-time and renewing applicants can apply online from midnight on February 22, 2024, until midnight on April 26, 2024, based on GMT.
