The Mauritius Africa Scholarship Scheme is an excellent opportunity for African students who are interested in studying in Mauritius. The scholarship is available for undergraduate, Masters, and PhD programs for the 2024/25 academic session. This scholarship is offered by the Government of Mauritius to deserving students who are citizens of member states of the African Union or African Commonwealth countries.
The scholarship covers tuition fees, airfare to and fro Mauritius, and support for living expenses. Several awards are available, and interested applicants are encouraged to apply. To be considered for the scholarship, applicants must have already applied for a full-time on-campus program at a public Higher Education Institution in Mauritius.
For undergraduate programs, applicants should be above 18 years of age and should not have reached their 26th birthday by 01 January 2025. For MPhil/PhD programs, applicants should not have reached 40 years by 01 January 2025. The scholarship will be for a maximum duration as indicated in the table or the minimum course duration, whichever is lesser.
Interested applicants can complete the application form and provide all the required documents. Applications, together with supporting documents as required, should be forwarded to the Ministry of Education, Tertiary Education, Science, and Technology of the Republic of Mauritius.
