International AIDS Society(IAS) Scholarship Program - Developing Countries 2024

Are you working, volunteering, or studying in the field of HIV and will you be at least 18 years old by July 20th, 2024? Then you are eligible to apply for a scholarship for AIDS 2024, the 25th International AIDS Conference that will take place in Munich, Germany, and virtually from July 22nd to July 26th. The scholarship also covers attendance at the AIDS 2024 pre-conferences, which will take place on July 20th and 21st at the conference venue.

The International AIDS Society (IAS) is offering this scholarship program to support individuals who are actively involved in the field of HIV. The benefits of this scholarship include travel support (pre-paid economy class return ticket from the nearest international airport in your country of residence), accommodation (single room in a budget hotel), and daily living allowance for the duration of the conference and pre-conferences. Virtual attendance registration is also available, which includes full online access to all hybrid conference sessions and accessibility support for virtual attendance.

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must be an abstract presenter, workshop facilitator, or co-facilitator; Global Village organizer or co-organizer; applicant from low-income and middle-income countries; part of the key population or people living with HIV; a young person or junior investigator below the age of 35; or an applicant who did not previously receive a scholarship for an International AIDS Conference.

The application deadline is on January 23rd, 2024. To apply, eligible candidates must answer questions about their background, experience, and motivation to attend the conference. They must also upload a letter of recommendation from a manager or colleague who is familiar with their work, volunteer experience, or studies in HIV and can be their referee. The letter must be written in English and dated within two months of the application submission. The referee must explicitly reference the candidate and support their scholarship application for AIDS 2024, explaining why they would be a good candidate for the scholarship.

Don’t miss out on this opportunity to attend the AIDS 2024 Conference and pre-conferences in Munich, Germany, and virtually. Apply now on the International AIDS Society (IAS) website.
