The NEC Institute for Advanced Study is inviting applications for the New Europe College Fellowships 2024 from suitably qualified Romanian and international scholars at the postdoctoral level in all fields of the humanities and social sciences. The fellowship offers a monthly stipend, accommodation, and reimbursement of travel costs for international scholars who are selected for the fellowship. During the entire duration of the fellowship, fellows will be given free access to NEC’s library and electronic resources.
To be eligible for the NEC Fellowships 2024, applicants must have completed a PhD in any field of the humanities and social sciences and must demonstrate excellent academic and research abilities. The fellowship is open to scholars of all nationalities.
The selection criteria for the fellowship include the high quality of the candidate’s academic trajectory and publications, participation in international research, and an innovative research proposal with a significant contribution to scholarship. Interdisciplinary and/or comparative approaches are an advantage.
Successful applicants will receive a monthly stipend of 850 Euros, accommodation in Bucharest, reimbursement of travel costs, and access to NEC’s library and electronic resources.
Interested applicants can apply for the New Europe College Fellowships 2024 by completing an online application and submitting all the required documents, including a recent photo, a scan of the PhD diploma, at least two original letters of reference (in English, French, or German) written explicitly to support the application for the NEC Fellowship, and a curriculum vitae.
