The Government of Mauritius is proud to announce the availability of the Mauritius Africa Scholarship Scheme for the 2024/25 academic session. This scholarship is open to deserving students who are resident citizens of member states of the African Union or African Commonwealth countries, and it covers the full cost of undergraduate, Master’s, and PhD studies enrolled for a full-time on-campus programme at a public Higher Education Institution in Mauritius. This is a great opportunity for Africans who are interested in pursuing their academic goals in a vibrant and diverse environment.
The scholarship is open to Africans who are interested in pursuing undergraduate or postgraduate studies at a public Higher Education Institution in Mauritius. Applicants must be above 18 years of age for undergraduate programmes, and not more than 26 years old by 01 January 2025. For MPhil/PhD programmes, applicants should not have reached 40 years by 01 January 2025. Interested applicants must have already applied for a full-time on-campus programme (Diploma, Degree, MPhil or PhD) at a public Higher Education Institution in Mauritius for the academic year starting in 2024.
Scholarship Benefits include full tuition fees, support for living expenses, and a round-trip airfare ticket to and fro Mauritius. Additionally, the scholarship will be for a maximum duration as indicated in the table in the Call for Applications or the minimum course duration, whichever is lesser. Applicants are encouraged to apply by completing the application form and submitting all necessary documents on or before 19 April 2024.
