Explore New Horizons with the Einstein Forum/Wittenstein Foundation Fellowship
The Einstein Forum and the Wittenstein Foundation are delighted to offer a unique fellowship for exceptional young thinkers eager to venture into a field different from their previous research. This fellowship aims to support individuals who, while excelling in their area of expertise, are also enthusiastic about interdisciplinary exploration, inspired by the innovative spirit of Albert Einstein.
During the fellowship, recipients will be expected to present their projects in a public lecture at both the Einstein Forum and the Wittenstein Foundation, showcasing their findings and insights. It is important to note that this fellowship is not intended for those who wish to complete an academic study they have already commenced. Instead, it is designed for fresh, innovative projects that embody originality, and feasibility, and demonstrate the applicant’s superior intellectual development. The project need not be fully completed during the fellowship period but can serve as the groundwork for a more extensive endeavour.
The fellowship provides several benefits, including living accommodations for five to six months in the garden cottage of Einstein’s summerhouse in Caputh, Brandenburg, close to the universities and academic institutions in Potsdam and Berlin. Additionally, fellows will receive a stipend of EUR 10,000 and reimbursement for travel expenses. To qualify, applicants must be under 35 and hold a university degree in the humanities, social sciences, or natural sciences. Required application documents include a CV, a two-page project proposal, and two letters of recommendation. The application deadline is June 1, 2024. Don’t miss this opportunity to expand your intellectual horizons and make a meaningful impact across disciplines. Apply today!
