EDUFI Doctoral Fellowships in Finland 2024-2025

Are you a doctoral-level student or researcher looking for a unique opportunity to pursue your PhD or Double Doctorate in Finland? Look no further than the EDUFI Fellowships programme! This programme is open to students and researchers from all countries and academic fields who want to study at an accredited Finnish university. The scholarship covers living expenses in Finland for a single person and includes a monthly allowance of 1,500 euros. However, it does not cover expenses related to international travel to and from Finland. The scholarship period can range from 3 to 12 months and there is no limit to the number of scholarships awarded.

While there are no annual application deadlines, it is important to note that applications should be submitted at least 5 months before the intended scholarship period. To apply, you must have established contacts with a Finnish host university. If a Finnish university is willing to host you, then the Finnish university department wishing to host you can apply to EDUFI for the grant on your behalf. It is recommended that you visit the Finnish universities’ websites for information on Doctoral level study and research options.

The programme is open to all international students, but emphasis is given to applicants from Russia, China, India, Chile, Brazil, and North America. If you are interested in applying or would like more information on the EDUFI Fellowships programme, visit the official website at https://www.oph.fi/en/development/edufi-fellowship. Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity to pursue your PhD or Double Doctorate in Finland!
