The Development Bank of Nigeria (DBN) is dedicated to bolstering the growth and bankability of Nigerian Micro, Small, and Medium-Sized Enterprises (MSMEs). This year, we are excited to introduce the DBN Learning Management System (LMS), a complimentary online platform offering a selection of self-paced courses designed to equip Nigerian MSMEs with essential business knowledge. This initiative underscores our commitment to enhancing the formalization and expansion of local businesses.
Further enriching this opportunity, DBN will select standout businesses to participate in an exclusive face-to-face training session. This physical training will provide practical application of crucial business principles, tailored support in areas of need, and a chance for businesses to present their value propositions. Selected participants from these sessions will be eligible for grant funding, enhancing their potential for success and growth.
Interested MSME owners who meet the following criteria are encouraged to apply: must be 18 years or older, a citizen or legal resident of Nigeria, and must commit to the training schedule upon acceptance. The program, which will take place in Lagos, Abuja, and Port Harcourt, involves both virtual self-paced modules and intensive on-site training. A total of 25 businesses will each receive N500,000 in grant funding. Applications are accepted through the DBN BizAid platform, where applicants must complete mandatory courses with a minimum average score of 70% to qualify for face-to-face training. For detailed information on the application process and training timelines, please visit the DBN website.
