Committee for International Cooperation and Development (CICOPS) 2025 Academics and Research Scholarships

The University of Pavia, in collaboration with EDiSU (Institute of the Right to University Studies), is proud to announce the availability of six scholarships for visiting scholars in 2025. These scholarships are part of a concerted effort to bolster international cooperation, with a special focus on engaging with scholars from Developing Countries, as recognized by the World Bank in its classification of low, lower-middle, and upper-middle-income economies. This initiative aims to foster a period of research collaboration ranging from 4 to 12 weeks, inviting academics and researchers from these nations to contribute their expertise at the University of Pavia.

These scholarships are designed to support academics and researchers who are keen on undertaking research in collaboration with a professor from the University of Pavia. To be eligible, applicants must secure a formal invitation from a collaborating professor at the University, which is a crucial requirement for the application process. Furthermore, candidates must bring to the table a minimum of two years of experience in teaching or involvement in international organizations and institutions. It’s important to note that these scholarships are not available to applicants currently enrolled in Doctoral or Postgraduate Courses at an Italian University, underlining the program’s commitment to fostering new research collaborations.

Applications are to be submitted through the Committee For International Cooperation and Development (CICOPS) portal, with the selection process concluding by June 30, 2024. The application requires a detailed curriculum vitae, ideally in the European format, including a list of publications, and the all-important invitation letter from a University of Pavia professor.
