BI Norwegian Business School offers the Presidential Scholarship to students who have excelled academically. The scholarship is open to all Norwegian and international students who meet the requirements. Applicants may apply for more than one scholarship, but only one scholarship is awarded per applicant. The scholarship is tied to a specific academic programme at a designated campus and cannot be transferred.
International candidates who are eligible for a student loan in Norway from Lånekassen and have completed a 180 ECTS bachelor’s degree from a Norwegian educational institution are considered domestic applicants for scholarship purposes and do not qualify for stipends towards living costs. Priority is given to applicants seeking their first master’s degree. Candidates who have already earned a master’s degree are not given priority for scholarships.
The BI Norwegian Business Masters Scholarship covers full tuition fees for each semester, for up to two years, if the student achieves the academic progression requirements. Scholarships are also available for international applicants, which cover full tuition fees and a stipend for each semester, for up to two years, if the student achieves the academic progression requirements. The stipend is intended to assist with living expenses but does not cover all expenses (approximately 70%).
To be eligible for the scholarship, candidates must have a minimum overall GPA of ‘A’ on the ECTS scale or the equivalent top-level grade on international grade scales. Students in the 3rd year of the Sivøk programme are eligible to apply. Candidates with Norwegian citizenship or international citizenship from EU/EEA/Switzerland are eligible to apply. Citizens of countries from outside the EU/EEA who are residents of Norway may be eligible, depending on their residency status.
Applications for the scholarship must be submitted by March 1, 2024. Interested candidates must apply online and submit a scholarship application letter. The scholarship application letter must be a maximum of one page and should outline why the applicant should be considered for the scholarship. Scholarships are awarded based on academic merit, not on financial need. Candidates must also include all the required documentation to be evaluated for admission to a Master of Science programme. The scholarship application will only be considered if a complete application for admission has been submitted and the offer of admission is accepted.
